So let’s get it!
These cheap souvenirs from hawaii can usually be found at waikiki or ali’i drive, depending on what island you’re visiting. Usually the touristy areas. ABC stores will be a great start for some cheap souvenirs.
Some of these cheap souvenirs from Hawaii consist of the following.
A puka shell necklace would be a great cheap gift to bring back from Hawaii. You can find them all over the place including amazon. Click on the image to see it on amazon.
If you find yourself on the hunt for one of these while you’re in Hawaii. Small local street vendors will sell them as well as your common ABC stores.
So you might be wondering, what is a puka shell. Well puka is the hawaiian word for “hole”. The hole is referred to as the hole in the middle of these rounded shell fragments. These shells are made into necklaces.
The puka shell necklace I am referring to is the cheap non-authentic one mass manufactured for tourists.
If you are looking for authentic puka shells necklaces you may want to check out the flea market.
Also check with local vendors. If it’s cheap, it’s usually fake. If it’s quite expensive…then it’s probably authentic.
These aloha type or hawaii type keychains will be easily obtainable. A simple run into the ABC store or even a near by gas station will carry these hawaii souvenirs.
These are usually really inexpensive and make a great quick and easy gift to bring back from your trip to Hawaii.
You can purchase the actual aloha keychain shown within the image above by click on the image.
A Hawaii calendar will also make a great cheap gift to bring back from Hawaii. To find these, again.
ABC stores will sell them but if you’re up for an adventure you can find a local longs drugs store in Hawaii and get them at a much cheaper price.
These make really great cheap gifts from Hawaii and you can even purchase them online if you forgot to buy it during your trip here or if you just want to order it online.
Click on the image above to purchase online.
Just like the calendars, puka shell necklace and keychains. Hawaii mugs could also be something to consider.
Check out a local grocery store to find them at a really great price. Or buy them online by clicking on the image above.
There are so many types of unique snacks that you can only get in Hawaii but I’ll focus on the ones that you can actually take back home with you.
With so many different varieties to choose from this will be a hard list to compile but i’ll just start listing what snacks come to mind.
Nothing says I love you like a gift of chocolate macadamia nuts. A little pricey but well worth it. These things are so ONO (delicious).
I think your best bet at finding these at a cheap price would be to visit a local costco or wal-mart here in Hawaii to get them at the cheapest price possible.
These one-ton chips are made in Hilo and they are super addictive. You’ll definitely want to get your hand on these. You can find them at a local 711 or local grocery store.
I also looked online and now it looks like it can also be purchased online. Click on the image above to order these amazing one-ton chips and have them shipped directly to your doorstep.
Li Hing Mui Mango is a unique snack found in Hawaii. I had a lot of different reactions when I had my mainland friends try it. Some fell in love with it and some couldn’t stand the taste. It’s a 50/50 shot with this one.
But definitely a must try. These can be found at just about anywhere in Hawaii.
Another local favorite. You cannot come to hawaii and not try a manapua. Especially if you decide to visit oahu.
Be sure to check out liliha bakery and order yourself a naked manapua.
If you do decide to take these home with you be sure to order them on the day that you leave to keep them as fresh as possible.
If you come to the big island of Hawaii then be sure to get yourself some fresh Kona coffee. Take home a few bags with you as well.
100 PERCENT PURE KONA COFFEE Although some brands claim to be Kona, they often contain as little as 10 percent of real Kona beans mixed with those of a lower grade.
Our beans are 100 percent authentic and meticulously cultivated in the Kona district on the big island, which has the perfect microclimate for growing coffee beans.
If you haven’t heard, taking rocks and sand home from Hawaii can bring you bad luck. Wether you are superstitious or not, there are still till today rocks being returned to Hawaii from visitors.
They claim to not believe in these odd claims or being superstitious but their luck seems to get so bad that they end up sending the rocks back.
As for me, I am born and raised here and wouldn’t know if it’s true or not but it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Here is a news video covering the topic:
Now let me focus on the more expensive gifts to bring home from Hawaii. These will range from $100 and up.
But these will definitely preserve that memory from the time you visited Hawaii!
And if you read till the end i’ll tell you a secret about a super unique gift straight from Hawaii! You can’t get this anywhere else but here…meaning on my website.
Koa pens will run you easily $100 but its a rare and unique gift from Hawaii.
Out of all of the Hawaiian Islands, koa grows predominantly on the Big Island.

Ukuleles make a great gift even if you don’t plan to play it.
And not just any ukulele.
I’m talking about unique handcrafted ukuleles made in hawaii.
This one is personal and probably biased because I’m talking about a unique limited edition metal print made by me, Geoffrey Woodruff.
The thing is I don’t have a local gallery. However, I do have an online gallery where I sell my prints.
Each print is digitally signed and limited to 50 metal prints for the 20×30 so once it’s sold out it won’t be placed online to sell again.
If you want to get your hands on one of these metal prints you can order online here
or if you plan to visit the big island of Hawaii you can send me a message in advance and I can meet up with you to deliver it.
You can also send me a DM on instagram @geoffofalltrades
